    May 11, 2016 | Canadians spend more than Americans on food, but less than Italy, Germany and Australia: An Agriculture Canada report released this week found U.S. households devoted just 6.6 per cent of total household spending to food and non-alcoholic beverages from stores in 2014. For Canadians, such purchases ate up 9.2 per cent of household spending on goods and services.
